ICIEA 2020 was successfully held during April 16-21. For COVID-19 spreading, considering the safety and health of all participants, the 6 days conference was finished via online. More than 200 participants attended and shared their latest idea and researches. Conference proceedings published by IEEE (ISBN: 978-1-7281-6784-8). (Online) It has been indexed by EI and SCOPUS and ISI Web of Science successfully within one month after online.

The conference attracted about 400 papers from more than 20 countries and regions around the world. The professional review team insisted two-way blind review processes. To ensure high-level and high-quality articles in the proceedings, the acceptance rate kept at about 50%. Finally, a total of 178 papers were published in the proceedings and authors made online reports. IEEE-ICIEA has always been a veritable international conference. Today, work and study all over the world are severely affected by the epidemic. It can provide a professional online conference platform and lead the world, Institutional universities conducted in-depth professional exchanges and discussions with experts in the field of industrial engineering.

Chan, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong (Associate Head of Poly U) gave an openning remarks and welcome address. Then the IEEE-ICIEA conference started. S. Chan, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong delivered the keynote speeches and Prof. Adrian E. Coronado Mondragon, Royal Holloway University of London, UK, Prof. Peng Yang, Tsinghua University (Shenzhen), China delivered the invite speeches.
The conference brings top academic forces together, from supply chain to logistics distribution system, from industrial production and automation to warehouse management, from control system to ergonomics, from mathematical model and optimization to control safety analysis and risk assessment, using 26 majors sessions conducted comprehensive and multi-angle academic exchanges and discussion.
