CONFERENCE 2021

Due to the continuing impact and future unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic, ICIEA 2021 was moved to a virtual event during April 16-21. This was a difficult decision, but the safety and well-being of our participants was our utmost priority. More than 130 participants attended and shared their latest idea and researches. Conference proceedings published by IEEE (ISBN: 978-1-6654-2894-1). (Online) It has been indexed by EI Compendex and SCOPUS successfully within one month after online.

General Information about ICIEA 2021

Sponsored by IEEE EDA-Chengdu, patrons with National University of Singapore, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Aisa University, assisted by Korea University etc, The conference adopts the Zoom online conference mode, with a wide range of radiation, and is highly recognized by experts and scholars.

The conference attracted about 200 papers from more than 15 countries and regions around the world. The professional review team insisted two-way blind review processes. To ensure high-level and high-quality articles in the proceedings, the acceptance rate kept at about 50%.

kEYNOTE AND invite speeches

The conference chairman Prof. Loon-Ching Tang, National University of Singapore, Singapore (Director of TDSI, NTU, Fellow of ISEAM), gave an openning remarks and welcome address. Then the 8th IEEE-ICIEA conference started. Prof. David W. Coit, Rutgers University, USA, delivered keynote speech Combined Optimization of Reliability, Preventive Maintenance and Resilience using Stochastic Programming, Prof. Loon Ching Tang, National University of Singapore, Singapore delivered keynote speech Six Sigma: What’s Next in the New Normal?, Prof. Kwang-Jae Kim, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea, delivered keynote speech Data-Driven Value Creation in Smart Services: Recent Cases, Challenges, and Research Issues.




In the afternoon, the conference co-chair Prof. Felix T. S. Chan, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong (Associate Head of Poly U) gave the start. Prof. Fugee Tsung, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong delivered keynote speech Industrial Analytics Research and Education Facing Digital Transformation, Prof. Min Xie, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong delivered keynote speech Some Challenging Issues in Industrial IOT Applications, and Prof. Hideki Nagatsuka, Chuo University, Japan delivered the invite speech Successful Likelihood-Based Inference for the Generalized Pareto Distribution.

 

WINNERS OF BEST ORAL PRESENTATION IN 2021

During April 24-26, the conference brings academic forces together, from Production Planning and Assembly to Supply Chain and Warehouse Management, from Sustainability Assessment to Vehicle Design and Manufacturing, from Control Engineering and System Model to Electronic Information and Engineering, from Material Manufacturing and Product Design to Quality Inspection and Evaluation, using 17 majors sessions conducted comprehensive and multi-angle academic exchanges and discussion.
